Parkway Construction Services enjoys a low seven-figure line of credit which is currently unused. We maintain a zero debt standard for inventory, equipment, and facility tooling. We have a low eight-figure bonding capacity. Our credit rating with our vendors is second to none.
With hundreds of collective years of experience to bring to bear Parkway Construction Services excels at coming up with unique and innovative solutions for our clients. Often we are brought in early in the design process which allows us to meet with the end-user to determine if an innovative solution solves a problem or simply betters their experience at a lower cost. One example is prefabrication opportunities. Rather than looking at every project as an extension of past experience, we look for opportunities to build multi-trade assemblies that both decrease on-site manhours and increase project quality. We were the first contractor in our area to heavily use grooved stainless steel piping for potable water systems on the majority of our projects. We continue to look at every challenge as an opportunity to bring a unique perspective and solution to the table.
Owners and construction managers no longer have to choose between utilizing a consulting engineer and engaging with a design-build plumbing contractor. The Design-Assist role is one that we are very experienced with. We work closely with the design team and consulting engineer to review plans and collaborate with the entire delivery team and propose changes to streamline project delivery, enhance system performance, maximize prefabability, and reduce overall costs. Key elements of the Design-Assist role are:
- Design-phase value engineering
- Schedule development in parallel with the design
- More precise cost and pierce estimating
- Streamline scheduling, permitting, and procurement. Often we can start construction months earlier than a standard plan-spec method provides.
- Identify trade-delivery conflicts
The Virtual Construction Department’s technological capabilities and modeling/estimating services are developed and performed in-house by trained and dedicated Parkway Construction Services professionals. Our integrated approach allows us to identify coordination/construction issues early in the process, therefore eliminating constructability challenges that arise during installation. PCS maintains a unique suite of Virtual/3D/BIM technologies that provide the highest value during all design and construction phases and allow the maximum amount of prefabrication opportunities on every project.
Our heavy use of Virtual Design provides the opportunity to fabricate the maximum amount of deliverables within our shops in a controlled environment. Manpower shortages are no longer something to look for, they are here. It is critical to efficiently use all available resources to prefabricate products which lowers the on-site manpower requirements and timeline. In addition, prefabrication ultimately provides better quality by using consistent practices in a coordinated effort by our team.
